Slurp sweet chilli negra
Black grated nutmeg
Sticks to your lips
As slits of grass
Echoe in flesh

Rustic ladles
Fish through
This irristable melting pot
Of
Tribal enslavement
 Sandals crowd bushes
The trampling
Of peeping toes
And crawling fingers
Swell at the loss of its children
Drowning cinnamon
And coconut seeds
Addicted to the intricate sounds of fertile beauty
Accents become infected
Through the raping of land
Roasted beans scatter on the heat
Of chocolates heated root

Slurp sweet chilli negra
Black grated nutmeg
Sticks to your lips
As slits of grass
Echoe in flesh

Velvet winding in the
Naked murmuring of
Rattling feijao in
Red, gold, and green drums
Singing  suca de cacu
Stolen from
Avocado, mango and
Papayan limbs
A sack of deep red bosoms
Smeared in henna
Become xicaras
Pumping bitter water
For this sacred drink
Gold dots
(Get lost and forget about)
Expressing sexual freedom

Slurp sweet chilli negra
Black grated nutmeg
Sticks to your lips
As slits of grass
Echoe in flesh

Listening through the breaking of seeds
The slipping and knocking of shells
Brushing of pods
And the energy of the tamborim
The screeching cries of fierce lashes
Soaks through the pulp
Leaking onto the swinging of pips
Drips like blood smeared
Red stems
Bursting
Like the dispersing of semen
Khaki shorts hang amongst
The temple of pea berries
And the blossom of Brazil nuts
Drinking from pestles
Bitter black cream
As dark as dense curls
Coming all the way
From pre-indiana-afrik

 Slurp sweet chilli negra
Black grated nutmeg
Sticks to your lips
As slits of grass
Echoe in flesh
